Description
The 2016 Reserva do Comendador White is a white wine made by Adega Mayor from Alentejo that is made of roupeiro, antão vaz and arinto of 2016 and shows an alcoholic strength of 12.5%.
This wine presents citrus color; intense aroma with notes of ripe fruit (pear, peach) well assorted with slight vanilla notes from the cask. Fresh notes of tropical and citrus fruits, along with an excellent minerality It has a good structure on the palate. It is well-balanced, fresh, mineral with a long finish. Citrus colour. Manual harvest, with a careful selection of clusters both in the vineyard and at the winery. Fermentation took place in new French oak barrels, followed by 6 months ageing on fine lees in order to achieve the desired structure and complexity.

After static decanting, fermentation took place in a stainless-steel tank at controlled temperatures of about 15ºC. After the normal period of resting in a tank, the wine was batched, stabilized and bottled.
